This Orange Food Is Scaring Big Pharma
I’m not the kind of doctor who likes to dig too deep into the conspiracies surrounding the pharmaceutical industry.
I believe the pharmaceutical industry has done some great things for humanity.
I also believe that many of them have controlling interests who might make it so some of the products they make and some of the decisions they make aren’t in our best interests.
This is why I always stress a return to food, herbs, bio-identical hormones, exercise, etc. as the best ways to positively influence health.
That’s why I wanted to take the time to write about turmeric.
Though turmeric has been used for thousands of years, I think it’s the way of the future and I wanted to take some time to show you why it’s so amazing (and why Big Pharma doesn’t like it).
Is Turmeric Better Than Pharmaceuticals?
Well, I think so.
And so do a lot of research studies.
While there are a number of reasons I believe this, I’ll start with some of the most obvious.
For one, turmeric isn’t a nasty, chemical-filled drug cocktail you take when all your options have disappeared and you’re staring death in the face.
Since turmeric is a spice, it means you can eat it every single day of your life to experience its benefits. It tastes great too, so that’s an added bonus.
Another reason I love turmeric is it’s been studied extensively. There are 6,000 studies on record demonstrating how powerful turmeric is. Hardly anything on the planet has been studied as thoroughly as turmeric, so it’s wonderful that we can remain so confident in its amazing health-protective abilities.
In fact, studies have shown turmeric’s health-boosting benefits are superior to many of these drugs:

That’s rather impressive when you consider how organizations like that are slow to endorse natural elements in helping to stop cancer.
Now I don’t want to pigeonhole turmeric/and curcumin here and say, “Oh, it’s great for cancer prevention and treatment.”
No way. It’s way better than that.
Big Pharma is afraid of turmeric (or they should be) because if more people started using it to block the dangerous effects of inflammation, it could seriously cut into their profits.

If you want to get more turmeric in your diet, I recommend buying the spice and then cooking with it as often as you can. It provides an awesome flavor and just a hint of spiciness that can really transform dishes.
You can also buy the root and juice it as well. Lots of people do this and mix it with lemon juice and other veggies for a superfood cocktail.
Now, there’s only one problem with using turmeric in your diet…
If you’re adding turmeric to your diet because you want to get a lot of curcumin, you’re going to be disappointed.
