This Simple Fix Helped Reverse Low Sex Drive!

For millions of Americans, the thought of a sexual encounter is approached with dread rather than with anticipation.

Why?

Because tons of people have low sex drives. For some, their sex drive is so low they wonder if they’ll even be able to perform if given the chance.

The subsequent stress, anxiety, and even shame they feel means one of life’s most enjoyable activities has now become a source of periodic frustration.

Fortunately, there is hope for people who are concerned about sexual performance. Since sex is so important, researchers are studying the heck out of how to make it better.

There are a number of developments on the frontier of sexual performance and sexual satisfaction that are changing people’s lives for the better.

In a recent study, scientists wanted to see how they could help men with a low sex drive finally get their mojo back.

Interestingly enough, the scientists didn’t want to make any adjustments to hormones; they simply wanted to see how exposure to natural, bright light would help the subjects sexually.

And, in what could be considered a breakthrough of sorts, the researchers concluded men who have a libido that barely gets off the ground are greatly be helped by the therapy.

In an experiment to see how light affected sex drive, the researchers recruited 38 men who had what could only be described as a very low sex drive.

They then split the men into two groups.

One of the groups was exposed to 30 minutes of bright light from a specially adapted light box (these are the same light boxes that are used to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD) in the morning for a period of two weeks.

The other group was also exposed to a light box, but this one emitted much, much less light.

After the two week period, the men’s testosterone levels and desire for sex were analyzed.

At the end of the study, the men who had constant exposure to bright light reported they were much more interested in sex than before.

Medical News today reports:

“Before treatment, both groups averaged a sexual satisfaction score of around 2 out of 10, but after treatment the group exposed to the bright light was scoring sexual satisfaction scores of around 6.3 – a more than threefold increase on the scale we used,” explains Prof. Fagiolini.

In comparison, the control group reported an average score of 2.7 following their 2-week treatment.”

And when it came to testosterone levels?

The men who were given the brighter light saw their levels climb from 2.3 nanograms per milliliter to 3.6 nanograms per milliliter.  That’s an increase of 36%!

The poor guys who were in the group with the low light box saw no change in testosterone levels.

The researchers assumed the rise in testosterone levels is what contributed to the increased desire for sex.

One of the researchers noted this is actually observed in natural exposure to bright light.

As he noted in their report, those who live in the northern hemisphere will naturally see testosterone levels decline between November and April.

Then when spring rolls around, the levels go back up and continue to climb until October.

As he said:

“You see the effect of this in reproductive rates, with the month of June showing the highest rate of conception,” she adds. “The use of the light box really mimics what nature does.”

However, although they managed to observe how light affected testosterone, they still aren’t sure why this is the case.

Their theory is “bright light exposure may increase testosterone levels. For example, it may block pineal gland activity in the brain, which can increase testosterone production, and it may also increase LH levels – as noted in previous research.”

Anything you can do to raise testosterone will most likely help boost sex drive.

And while this research doesn’t mean for sure light therapy will help boost testosterone levels, I can say this…

If you want a natural way to raise your testosterone levels with tons of scientific proof behind it, saw palmetto is for you.
