As I had mentioned in the prior email, this step serves 2 purposes: It soothes sore muscles AND it’s really effective for improving blood sugar. Some patients even swear that they begin to notice a calm in their perspective as this step infuses them with “feel good” vibes. I do like to think of this as the Happy Step.
For one, it’s super easy. You just spray Magnesium Oil on your large muscles, particularly the large muscles of your legs and buttocks.
And two, Magnesium Oil is not only the perfect way to soothe sore muscles but research shows that it is also one of the most effective ways to improve blood sugar.
Here’s why Magnesium Oil works. Remember in Step 3: Microworkouts, we talked about how cortisol negatively impacts controlling blood sugar. The harmful effects of too much cortisol in your system are why I recommend micro workouts in place of long duration cardio.
Well, Magnesium Oil also induces relaxation by modulating the stress response and cortisol release. Nearly all my patients report chronic stress from work, life, family, and relationships. This results in chronically elevated cortisol levels which leads to increased blood sugar.

Which is a big deal when you consider that magnesium is essential for over 300 bodily processes…many of which are connected to regulating blood sugar. In fact, when you’ve got elevated blood sugar your body actually excretes more magnesium through urination.
So for those with blood sugar problems it is especially important to get more magnesium in the body. When you spray magnesium oil on your muscles not only does the nutrient relax you and ease sore muscles but it replaces lost magnesium.
When the cells in your body, especially your muscles, have sufficient magnesium levels they are much more sensitive to insulin and so you can process blood sugar more efficiently.
This step, while simple, is really important. Not only will you thank me because your muscles won’t be yelling at you from working out but, over time, you will see a nice decrease in blood sugar. And you’re likely to feel more relaxed, calm and, as many of patients have reported, “happy.”
